FAQs

Is Sojurnr ultralight backpacking gear actually designed for women?

Yes. Our gear is designed for women’s bodies from the very beginning. No downsizing. No rebranding. No “shrink it and pink it.”

That means every part of the pack is built around how your body actually moves and carries weight.

The hipbelt is anatomically angled for the natural tilt of women's hips and a lower center of gravity, so it stays put instead of digging, slipping, or creating pressure points. It adjusts across a range of hip widths for a secure, comfortable carry.

The S-curve shoulder straps contour naturally around your boobs instead of smashing down on them. They follow your natural shape and work across different shoulder widths, torso lengths, and body types.

Who is the RESOLUTE 50–55 Backpack made for? Is it beginner-friendly?

The RESOLUTE 50–55 is designed for women who want an ultralight pack that carries weight comfortably without fighting their bodies. Whether you're heading out for your first overnight hike or logging long miles on the trail, it's built to work with your anatomy from day one.

The removable internal frame, adjustable shoulder harness, and removable hipbelt make it easy to dial in your fit as you figure out what works for you. The pack grows with you, not against you.

What makes Sojurnr different from other ultralight brands?

We design with women first. Full stop. Ultralight gear designed for fit, comfort, and high-visibility safety on the trail.

Our mission goes beyond gear too. We're building a brand where women, especially women of color, feel like they belong outdoors. Not as an afterthought. From the beginning.

Why does the pack have so many pockets? That adds so much extra weight.

Obsessing over every single gram is usually more of a guy thing. We design for real use.

Most women care more about organization and convenience, especially when you're carrying extra gear for things like peeing in the woods or managing your period. We focus on smart organization without unnecessary bulk.

What's the difference between traditional backpacking vs 'ultralight backpacking?'

Picture hiking 20 miles with 20 pounds of gear versus 40. That's the difference between ultralight and traditional backpacking.

Traditional backpackers prioritize campsite comfort, carrying a baseweight of around 20 pounds, everything except consumables. Ultralight backpackers cut that in half at 10 pounds, moving faster, feeling better, and keeping things simple.

Your pack is not under 2 pounds, can it really be called ultralight?

Fair question. Ultralight backpacking is about packing as light as possible while staying safe and comfortable out there, and weight is relative.

For most women, the goal isn't just a lightweight pack. It's one that makes everything feel lighter. The right fit and structure distributes weight properly, so your pack works with your body instead of against it.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship within the United States. International shipping is on our radar, so sign up for our list to stay updated on when we expand.

If it doesn't work for me can I return it?

Yes. We want you to feel confident buying a $329 pack you've never tried on. Return it within six months as long as it shows no visible wear or damage. Kickstarter backers have a full year from delivery. Shipping costs aren't covered.

Include your receipt so we can turn it around quickly.

Is the RESOLUTE 50-55 and Hip Hiker made with recycled materials?

Some of it, yes. The main bag panels are made from 210D Venom Gridstop ECO fabric and the interior pockets from HyperD ECO fabric. We'll keep building on that as we grow. We'd rather tell you exactly what's in your gear than make claims we can't back up.

Do you have plans for a men's version?

Are you asking because men don’t have enough outdoor gear options?

For now, we're focused entirely on women. Most outdoor gear has historically been designed with men in mind, and we're here to change that.
